What Build claims today about keys, writes, credentials and data, and nothing more.

On this page

This page states what is true today.

Keys

Each key is scoped per account and can be revoked at any time, in one click, without touching your other keys. A key is read, or read and write. See Keys and scopes.

Read-only by default

Build reads your data unless you allow changes. Writes exist on Amazon only. Every other platform is read-only.

Writes are guarded

Changes to an Amazon account run behind caps, a dry run first, a 24 hour undo and an audit log of every write. See Writes and guardrails.

Credentials

Platform credentials are encrypted in the application. Build runs on AWS.

Your data

  • Your data is never used to train anything.
  • After you disconnect an account, its data is held for 30 days, then deleted.

What Build stores

Placeholder Fails a strict build (DOCS_STRICT=1).

To write: what Build stores per account (connection tokens, synced rows, the audit log) and for how long, by plan retention. Do not state a server location, SOC 2 or an SLA unless the CTO confirms it

Data handling

Placeholder Fails a strict build (DOCS_STRICT=1).

To write: data handling details: who at Build can see data, how credentials are encrypted and where keys are held, how deletion works in practice, subprocessors

Amazon terms

Placeholder Fails a strict build (DOCS_STRICT=1).

To write: what Amazon's developer terms require of Build and of customers, in plain words

Terms and privacy

Build is operated by SellerMate Technologies Private Limited. The Terms and Privacy policy are SellerMate's.
