# What Build is

> You need a Build account. The Free plan has one account and a sandbox key on demo data.

## What it is

Build connects the marketplace and ad accounts you already have and answers questions about them over one API. You send one `POST` to a tool, with one key, and get rows back in the same fields whichever platform the account is on.

Amazon and Google Ads are live. Other platforms follow the same call shape when they launch.

## Make your first call

1. **Get a key**

   Open Keys in the console, name the key, and choose what it can reach.
2. **Keep it in your tool's secrets**

   Store it as `BUILD_API_KEY`, so your prompts and code never contain the key itself.
3. **POST to a tool**

   The tool name is in the path. The body names the account and the dates.

The call shape is illustrative until the contract is final. The sandbox key returns demo data and is read-only.

## What you send

On Amazon accounts only, with caps, a dry run and undo. Google Ads and the platforms that follow are read-only.

### Which platforms are live?

Amazon and Google Ads. Walmart, Flipkart, TikTok Shop and Meta Ads are coming soon.

### Do I need an SDK?

No. Each tool is one `POST` with a JSON body, so curl, a fetch call or your AI tool's HTTP step all work.
